Proxy server

• Represent someone else.
• Authorized to act on behalf of another.
• A proxy server verifies and forwards incoming client requests to other serverfor further communication.
• A proxy server is located b/w a client and and a server where it acts as an intermediary b/w the two, such as a web browser and a web server.
• The proxy server's most important role is providing security.

Internet service provider (ISP)

1. An internet service provider (ISP) is a company that provides internet access to customer and data maybe transmitted using several technologies.
2. Typicaly ISPs also provide their customers the ability to communicate with one another by providing internet e-mail accounts, usually with numerious e-mail addresses at the customer's discretion. Other services such as telephone and television services, maybe provided as well the services and services combenations maybe unique to each ISP.
3. An internet service provider is also known as an Internet Access Provider (IAP).

Search Engine

Search engine is a service that allows internet users to search for content via the world wide web (www).A user enters keyword or keyphrases into a search engine and receive a list of web content results in the form of websites, images, videos or other online data.

The list of content returned via a search engine to a user is known as a search engine result page.

What is firewall ?

A firewall is a type of cyber security tool that is used to filter traffic on a network.
